My favourite and the family favourite restaurant is an Emarati restaurant, called Al Fanar. It serves authentic food from the Emirates, in a beautiful setting. You feel as though you have gone back in time, to the golden days of the Emirates.
I especially love the seating they have outside, now that the weather is perfect to have lunch or tea and sweets, outside.
Whenever we go we always try something different, but my personal favourite is the chicken and rice (Machboos deyay), and my husband the Lamb and rice (Lahm biryani). For sweets we usually have lgaaimat or khabisah with traditional arabic coffee.

After your meal, the waiter/ess will come around and refresh your hands and face (if you wish) with some lightly scented rose water. I also loved how throughout the day the staff go around with bukhoor.
